The San Diego Access and Crisis Line (ACL) has been a pillar of support for the residents of San Diego County since its establishment in 1997. This vital service fields numerous calls each month, addressing concerns related to suicide prevention, crisis intervention, community resources, mental health referrals, and alcohol and drug support services. Available around the clock, every day of the week, the ACL offers confidential and free assistance provided by Master's-level and Licensed Clinicians. These dedicated counselors bring an average of 16 years of clinical experience to the table and are equipped to address a wide spectrum of issues, including assistance for emotionally disturbed youth, senior social services, nursing, in-home domestic violence intervention, case management, and drug and alcohol abuse. In addition, the ACL's language interpreter services ensure inclusivity by providing support in over 200 languages within seconds, ensuring that help is accessible to all who reach out.
